“You Raise Me Up”

Sometimes people come into your life for a SEASON . . .Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.  They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

And sometimes it’s only for a week. But in that week, her art touched many of the people who found their way to that part of the beach. For some, it reminded them of the beauty of life. For others, her art lifted them up when they were down. It inspired all of us to become better people.

She came in the quiet of the early morning, before the tide came in. I spent some time with her most mornings and learned a bit about the fine art of creating in the sand. It can’t be too wet or too dry. It has to be the right texture and maybe if you are lucky, there will be some black sand running through the gold.  She left her art for all to see until the waves gently took it away. And then the next morning, she began again.

You can see more of her work on Facebook “Posts by Post”.

“Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.”
